Jina Isi ka Naam hai….
Taksh Mishraji is a lighthouse , who helps others to find their way to the shore.
The eyes of Shri Taksh Mishra become moist when he visits slums , old age homes and mental asylum. His heart beats for the children of slum and orphanage. He finds joy and satisfaction being with them. He has witnessed the gradual changes in the slum children from being unruly to disciplined ones, from a child laborer to a graduate and working in reputed organisation.

His journey of philanthropy started in 2K02 , when he visited Shri Ramakrishna Math with his fianceé Shefali. He got a Guru Mantra from Swami Jitatmanandji, Swamiji inspired Taksh Mishraji to love and listen to the downtrodden. That was the time when Mishraji got the taste of Paramananda and beginning of his #SewaYagna. It’s been 18 years and he says he gets ‘Anandam’ while working with the children of Narayan Nagari.

His better half Smt. Shefali Mishra is the backbone of his social activities, She has been inspiring and supporting him to work for the betterment of the society. Though sometimes she needs Mishraji by her side during the difficult times in her life but she also realises that the smile on the faces of slum children is much more important than her needs. She is a homemaker who takes care of her in laws and their sweet child Laddu.

Yes, challenges are the part and parcel of being a social worker. Mishraji enjoys accepting the challenge of maintaining children’s regularity for the evening prayer classes, school attendance, one day outing for them. He finds bliss in snacks and lunch distribution. Mishraji quotes one of his experiences –
” I used to do Narayan Sewa in sleeping zone time of Rajkot, i.e. between 1.00 to 4.00 pm.i used to go to Shastri Maidan and gather all the slum children residing near by. Children would be given instructions for brushing their teeth and bathing, later the food would be distributed, exactly by 4.00 pm I would wind up the activities.”
Once upon a time all the Narayans of Narayan Nagari were consuming tobacco and alcohol. With the efforts put in by Shri Mishraji today it has become tobacco free zone and consumption of alcohol has drastically reduced.
The tini tiny members of Sanskar Kendra have become expert in chanting shlokas of Bhagvad Gita and performing Yagna . This is the result of determination of the children and the mentor both.

Once the children get admission in school (with or without RTE) Mishraji works on 3 levels.
Level 1. Sending the child to school.
Level 2. Regularity of attendance.
Level 3. No dropouts.
Few of his Narayan Nagari children have completed these 3 levels successfully and have completed the graduation as well.

The graduates owe the twinkle of their eyes to Shri Taksh Mishraji.
Let’s hear it from one of the graduates Mr. Goma Vasava.

Upon asking Mishraji about his determination and hardwork, he simply answers, “I love to do Narayan Seva so I do it, I love being with aged and serve them so I take care of them.” He loves to wear simple clothes and believes in the theory of Simple living and high thinking.
What an inspiring story of this simple and down to earth personality!!
During this Covid19 lockdown time he keeps worrying about the daily wages workers and their children. It has become his routine to provide food for the needy people. Everyday he visits to the nearby villages to provide lunch .
Along with his team members he is striving hard to calm down the downtrodden with a full and a sumptuous meal. As we lose ourselves in the service of mankind, we discover our own lives and our own happiness.
